ولد عام 1959/ خريج مدرسة المعلمين عام 1979/ عمل أستاذًا لفن الخط بالمدرسة المولوية بالقصر الملكي بالرباط من عام 1992 إلى عام 2008/ ثم انتقل إلى القاهرة بمصر بغرض التفرغ لخدمة فن الخط والفنون الإسلامية لفائدة طلبة الأزهر الشريف من مختلف الجنسيات من عام 2008 إلى 2016/ وانتقل عقب ذلك إلى سنغافورة عام 2016، ثم استقر في جاكارتا بإندونسيا منذ عام 2018/ شارك كعضو لجنة تحكيم في مسابقة ارسيكا الدولية لفن الخط بإسطنبول – تركيا منذ عام 2007/ وكحكم في مسابقة ارسيكا الإقليمية الأولى لفن الخط بجنوب شرق آسيا (سنغافورة 2018)/وهو المُنَظِرْ للطريقة التربوية (منهج حميدي) في دراسة وتدريس فن الخط الإسلامي بنظام الإجازات التقليدية المنتشرة في جنوب شرق آسيا/آلف كراسة فريدة لتحسين الكتابة الإعتيادية بجنوب إفريقيا عام 2012، والتي عرفت نجاحًا بعد إنتشارها ببلدان جنوب شرق آسيا وأوروبا/ وأصدر عام 2018 الطبعة المزيدة والمنقحة في إندونيسيا لفائدة مجمع شامل القرآن بباندونج. وحازت هذه الكراسة على إقبال متزايد بالنظر إلى النتائج التي تتحقق من خلالها/يعتبر أول خطاط مغربي كتب الحلية الشريفة بالخط المغربي الأندلسي منذ عام 1996/ كما تشرف بكتابة ثمانية مصاحف بالخط المغربي براوية ورش (أربع نسخ مطبوعة وأربع نسخ مخطوطة) ما بين عامي 1999 و 2017/حصل على إجازة في خطي الثلث والنسخ من الشيخ حسن جلبي في إسطنبول عام 1997/ وعلى إجازة في خطي الديواني الجلي والديواني من البروفيسور الدكتور علي آلب أرسلان في أسطنبول عام 2000/ وحصل أيضًا على إجازة في خط النستعليق البروفيسور الدكتور علي آلب أرسلان في أسطنبول عام 2005.
Born in 1959/ He was graduated from the Teachers’ School in 1979/ He worked as calligraphy teacher at the Mulawia School at the Royal Palace of Rabat from 1992 to 2008/ then moved to Cairo in order to serve the calligraphy and Islamic arts for the benefit of Al-Azhar students from various nationalities from 2008 to 2016/In 2016, Belaid Hamidi moved to Singapore, and then settled in Jakarta, Indonesia, since 2018/He was a member of the arbitration committee of the IRCICA International Calligraphy Competition in Istanbul – Turkey since 2007/ and he is also an arbitrator in the first IRCICA Regional Art Competition in Southeast Asia (Singapore 2018)/He is the theorist of the educational method (Hamidi curriculum) in the study and teaching of the art of Islamic calligraphy in system of traditional license which spread in Southeast Asia/He wrote a unique workbook for improving regular writing in South Africa in 2012; and after its spread in Southeast Asia and Europe, it witnessed a great success/ In 2018, he published the revised edition in Indonesia for the benefit of the Holy Quran Academy in Bandung/He is considered the first Moroccan calligrapher to write the Hilya in the Andalusian Moroccan font since 1996/ He was also honoured by writing eight copies of the Holy Quran in Moroccan font in warsh ‘an Naafi “methods of reciting the Qur’an” (four printed copies & four manuscript copies) between 1999 and 2017/Belaid Hamidi has a license in Thuluth and Naskh fonts from Sheikh Hassan Jalabi, Istanbul 1997, a license in the Al-Diwani Aljali and Al-Diwani fonts from Professor Dr. Ali Alb Arslan, Istanbul 2000, and a license in Al Nastaliq font from Professor Dr. Ali Alb Arslan, Istanbul 2005.
